Bella, Gigi Hadid donate $1m to Gaza relief efforts

Supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid are making a significant humanitarian contribution by donating $1 million to support relief efforts in Gaza. The funds will be distributed equally among four humanitarian organizations: Heal Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), World Central Kitchen, and the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). These organizations provide essential aid such as food, medical services, assistance for displaced families, and psychological support to children and families affected by the conflict in Gaza.

Bella Hadid's representative confirmed the donation to the BBC, highlighting the sisters' ongoing commitment to supporting Palestinian causes. The PCRF expressed

gratitude for the Hadid sisters' "astounding generosity," acknowledging the significant impact their donation will have on the ground.

The Hadid family, originally from Nazareth, has been vocal in their support for Palestine. Bella Hadid's recent appearance at the Cannes Film Festival underscored this commitment; she wore a dress made from a red and white keffiyeh, a scarf symbolizing Palestinian resistance. She described the dress as a "beautiful way to represent the history, labor of love, resilience, and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery."

This generous donation and public support reflect the Hadid sisters' dedication to using their platforms and resources to aid humanitarian efforts and raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians.
