On Thursday, five restaurants in Dubai were awarded Michelin stars in the guide’s third edition for the city. The announcement was made during a ceremony at the One&Only One Za’abeel hotel.
Two Michelin Stars:
- Row on 45: A new addition to the guide, Row on 45, earned two Michelin stars. The restaurant, located on the 45th floor of Grosvenor House, is helmed by acclaimed British chef Jason Atherton. It offers a tasting menu for just 22 guests, featuring refined dishes that blend Japanese ingredients with French techniques. Atherton expressed his emotional gratitude during the award ceremony.
One Michelin Star:
- Smoked Room: Newly entered the guide with a Michelin star. Led by chef Dani Garcia, this restaurant offers dishes prepared using fire and grilling techniques.
- Sagetsu by Tetsuya: Also a first-time entry into the guide, this restaurant is led by chef Tetsuya Wakuda and combines Japanese and French culinary influences.
- La Dame de Pic Dubai: Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s debut in Dubai, offering modern French cuisine with subtle local influences.
- Orfali Bros: Run by three Syrian brothers, this restaurant was promoted from the Bib Gourmand. Chef Mohamad Orfali dedicated the award to young Arab chefs, especially in Syria.
