Saudi Arabia launches unified employment portal

Saudi Arabia has officially launched the Jadarat platform, a unified employment portal designed to streamline job opportunities across the government and public sectors. The platform was introduced by Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the Kingdom’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to reduce unemployment among its citizens. This initiative aligns with the broader goals of Vision 2030, aiming to enhance local employment and human capital development.

The platform offers over 70,000 job opportunities in various sectors, with features allowing users to filter job searches based on region, career path, and skill set. This tool integrates data from previous employment platforms like Taqat and Jadarah, facilitating a more centralized and efficient job-matching process for both public and private sectors.

Al-Rajhi emphasized that the platform will play a crucial role in boosting the participation of Saudi nationals in the workforce, particularly in the private sector, where the number of employed Saudis has already surpassed 2 million. Additionally, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has allocated SR3.79 billion ($1.01 billion) in the first half of 2024 to support employment and training initiatives.

The launch of Jadarat is expected to contribute significantly to ongoing improvements in the Saudi labor market, particularly in increasing employment rates and labor force participation among Saudi nationals, with notable gains already observed among Saudi women.
